Sizzler Feature Multiplies Prizes by Three
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico, USA (January 3, 2008) --
The New Mexico Lottery today introduced a
feature that will give Hot Lotto players a chance to win larger prizes.
Called Sizzler, the feature will
automatically multiply all non-jackpot prizes by three on every drawing.
With Sizzler, a winning $10,000 Hot Lotto ticket will be multiplied into a
$30,000 prize. The Sizzler feature costs an additional $1 per play and is
available now at 1,100 lottery retailers statewide.
To play Hot Lotto, players
select five numbers from one to 39 and one Hot Ball number
from one to 19. Each play is priced at $1. Players can win prizes
by matching their numbers to the numbers drawn in one of nine ways. Hot
Lotto jackpots start at $1 million and increase by at least $50,000 per drawing
until someone wins. Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday
evenings. The New Mexico Lottery had its first
Hot Lotto jackpot winner in August 2007 when Edward Boyd of Farmington matched
the drawn numbers of 3, 11, 18, 34, 38 and the red Hot Lotto of 3. Boyd
and a player in Minnesota shared the estimated $2 million annuity jackpot
equally. Hot Lotto is played in the District of
Columbia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico,
North Dakota, South Dakota and West Virginia. Later in the month,
Oklahoma and Delaware will join the game. $337 Million Raised for Education

the 5th U.S. Contract by the South Carolina Education
Lottery ATHENS, Greece (January 8,
2008) -- INTRALOT USA, following an
international tender, has signed a contract for the provision of an on-line
gaming system, including associated gaming products and support services for
the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL).
The conversion to the new system will occur in November, 2008.
The contract is for 7 (seven) years with an option
to extend for up to 3 (three) years. Total revenue from the contract will reach
$67.8 million dollars for the full term. In addition
to the LOTOS online gaming system, SCEL has chosen to deploy INTRALOTs
new microLOT compact, full function terminal to all of the lottery retailers.
INTRALOT will initially supply 3,800 CORONIS microLOT terminals and 1,800
ticket checkers plus related equipment such as LCD Player Transaction Displays
and Player Advertising Displays. A state-of-the-art fully redundant satellite
network will be utilized to link retailer terminals to the central system. The
operation of a primary data center in South Carolina and all other support
functions, such as marketing, training, maintenance and repair, retailer
hotline, field operations and ticket stock warehousing are also included in the
contract. The significant contract follows on the
heels of INTRALOTs recent award and contract with the New Mexico Lottery
and is the 5th success for the company in the highly demanding US market.
Ernie
Passailaigue, SCELs Executive Director stated We are
extremely excited to form this new partnership with INTRALOT. Their proposal
provided a First Class System that provides enhanced functionality with
significant cost savings and the potential for generating additional revenue
for education programs in South Carolina. The South Carolina Education Lottery began operations in 2002
and has transferred $1.57 Billion to the Education Lottery Account through
December, 2007. SCEL has managed to become one of the top lotteries worldwide
and currently ranks 14th in total sales in the US and 18th in per capita sales
worldwide according to La Fleurs 2007 Lottery Almanac. According to
SCEL, it ranked 10th among U.S. lotteries in terms of net income (transfers)
per capita in FY06.
INTRALOT S.A. CEO,
Mr. Constantinos Antonopoulos
stated: With the successful award by the South Carolina Education
Lottery, INTRALOT proves once again its competence to combine excellent quality
and competitive pricing. SCEL is one of the most dynamic in the United States
with a continuously upward course within the Lottery gaming market. We are sure
that our partnership with SCEL will be mutually beneficial and rewarding,
providing added value for all citizens of South Carolina as well as for
INTRALOT. INTRALOT USA President and
CEO, Tom Little, commented: We are extremely pleased to have won this
contract. The RFP, rather than following a standard template, allowed
somewhat of a free form response and required potential vendors to propose
their versions of a First Class System. Our proposal was ranked number one
among all major vendors. We are pleased to provide our operational expertise
and state-of-the-art technology to a Lottery whose management, given its brief
6 years of operation, has led South Carolina to be ranked among the largest and
fastest growing Lotteries in the United States as well as the world. We are
also very proud to be able to provide our newest state-of-the-art terminal, the
CORONIS microLOT, to all of the Lotterys retailers. The
Lotterys decision in this regard provides confirmation to us that our
consistent, significant investment in research and development will enable us
to continue to provide the cutting edge products and services for which we have
become known. About

ACE to Serve Up
Its Strongest ICE Showing LONDON,
UK (January 9, 2008) -- ACE Interactive, part
of the Aristocrat group of companies,
will be in ebullient form at ICE 2008 as it looks to build on recent success
which has seen the gaming innovator conclude iVT installations in Slovakia,
make in roads to the lucrative north American market and most recently secure
the contract to supply the prestigious Norsk
Tipping Nowegian State Lottery with 500 interactive Video Terminals.
 |
| Ace
Interactive Server Based Gaming |
Whilst ICE provides a high
profile stage to showcase the companys Server Centric Gaming Casino
System on Aristocrats new Viridian cabinet, as well as a raft of
iVT solutions for lottery markets, ACE will also be using what is the most
international b2b casino event in the calendar to meet with the industrys
key players, as CEO Michael Koch explained: I believe that we stand at
the foothills of one of the most technically exciting periods in the history of
the casino sector. "Standalone video terminals
are becoming obsolete and EPROM has a limited shelflife.
"However, before the developed casino world embraces
fully the massive opportunities offered by SBG, we need to get in front of the
market and explain face to face the huge commercial potential of what we can
deliver: that is why events such as ICE are so important.
Visitors to stand 3410 will be provided with an insight to
ACE Interactives unique spin on the SBG genre as Michael Koch explained:
The concept of Any Game, Any Where, Any Time is the
mindset that is needed to understand our proposition.
He continued: For
operators the ability to constantly change games on any terminal depending on
the time of day or customer mix makes huge commercial sense. Our technology
enables the future development of 24hour access to games featuring an exciting
number of media applications. For example, say a player accesses a machine with
a card that identifies motor sport as a particular interest, we can flag up a
message that says Mr. Smith, testing at the Japanese Grand Prix starts in
15 minutes, would you like to bet on Lewis Hamilton to take Pole? and
then for us to provide the odds. He added: I honestly believe
that the ACE Interactive technical and creative mix, allied to
Aristocrats commercial acumen, makes our SBG proposition the most
attractive not only at ICE but in the market in general.
Koch concluded: In addition to the business wins,
weve recently relocated to bigger, purpose-built premises in Stockholm
and made some significant appointments to the senior management team:
everything is in place to start the year with a really strong ICE
show. About Aristocrat Technologies Europe
