Idaho Becomes Tenth State Lottery to Adopt Cole Systems OrderPad Enterprise Mobile Sales Force Automation Software Solution

Sleek, Intuitive Work Platform and Access to Up-to-Date Sales Information Increases Field Rep Efficiency and Boosts Profit Levels

NEW YORK, USA (November 7, 2006) -- The Idaho Lottery announced today it will become the tenth state lottery to integrate Cole Systems OrderPad Enterprise into their mobile sales force. The first software of its kind optimized for Tablet PCs, OrderPad will enable Idaho Lottery sales representatives to better service 950 retailers across more than 83,000 square miles of sales territory. We believe that by providing the Lotterys sales force with the OrderPad option, they will have the tools and information they need to work effectively with their retailers. Through up-to-date access to sales history and customer information, they will be able to increase sales, efficiently manage their territories, and continue building on their already strong relationship with their accounts.

New Mexico’s Hot Ticket to Cool Cash; New Game Has Players Picking 6 Numbers to Win 7 Figures

LogoALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico, USA (November 7, 2006) -- Lottery players in New Mexico will soon have a hot new way to win a cool million when tickets for Hot Lotto go on sale November 12.  The first drawing to include New Mexico will be held on November 15.

Hot Lotto will be a nice complement to our current games, filling the niche between Roadrunner Cash and Powerball,” said Lottery CEO Tom Romero.  “New Mexico now has the option of playing for a huge jackpot (Powerball) with higher odds of winning, or a smaller jackpot (Hot Lotto) that is easier to win.”

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 146 million, while the odds of winning the Hot Lotto jackpot are one in nearly    11 million.  Overall odds of winning any prize playing Hot Lotto     are 1 in 16.

Hot Lotto jackpots begin at $1 million and increase by a minimum of $50,000 per drawing until someone wins.  The jackpot is currently at a record high of $12.89 million.

Tickets sell for $1 each.  Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) headquarters at approximately 8:40 p.m. Mountain Time, just prior to the Powerball drawing.  The drawings will not be televised.

To play Hot Lotto, players simply choose a total of six numbers – five white ball numbers from a field of 1 to 39, and one “Hot Ball” number from a field of 1 to 19.  The game offers nine ways to win prizes ranging from $2 (for matching only the “Hot Ball” number) to winning the jackpot (for matching all five numbers in the first set of numbers plus the “Hot Ball” number).

As with New Mexico’s other on-line drawing games, players can pick their own numbers with a play slip, or request a “Quick Pick” allowing the lottery terminal to randomly select the numbers for them.  Hot Lotto offers the same style of play as Powerball, but with a different prize structure.

Hot Lotto

Players can find out if they are winners in several ways.  The winning Hot Lotto numbers will be televised as soon as they are available on KOB-TV, and affiliate stations KOBR in Roswell and KOBF in Farmington.  Results are also available at all Lottery retailers, on the Lottery’s player hotline at 505-342- PLAY (7529) and at www.nmlottery.com.

Like Powerball, Hot Lotto is a multi-state lottery game currently played in nine US lotteries: the District of Columbia, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota and West Virginia.  The addition of New Mexico brings the total number of participating lotteries to 10.

Hot Lotto was introduced in April 2002 by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), a government-benefit, non-profit association that was formed in 1987.  Headquartered in Urbandale, Iowa, MUSL is entirely owned and operated by its 31 member lotteries, including the New Mexico Lottery.  Its role is to conduct drawings, supervise games, manage accounting, and purchase government securities to fund annuitized prizes.  MUSL member lotteries contribute to and share in the prize pool, which is set at 50 percent of sales, and also share operating costs of the association based on a percentage of total sales.

All proceeds from the sale of Hot Lotto, as with all New Mexico Lottery games, benefit education in New Mexico.  Since inception, the New Mexico Lottery has raised more than $294.3 million, including $227.7 million for the Lottery Success Scholarship program.  According to statistics provided by the Higher Education Department, more than 43,000 students have received in-state tuition for college from this merit-based scholarship program.

Lottery Record; $218 Million Returned to the State in Fiscal Year 2006!

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, USA (November 2, 2006) -- Fiscal Year 2006 was a year for the record books at the Hoosier Lottery.  With $816 million in lottery products sold, the Lottery was able to return a record $218 million back to the state of Indiana.  The $218 million return surpassed the previous profit record of $204 million set in Fiscal Year 1999.

QLot

What a year!” said Hoosier Lottery Executive Director, Esther Q. Schneider.  “I applaud the dedication and hard work of Hoosier Lottery employees and retailers throughout the state whose hard work made 2006 a year for the record books!

-- Several additional major Lottery records were also shattered in FY 2006.  These were:

-- Scratch-off ticket sales of $505 million

-- Powerball ticket sales of $160 million

-- Hoosier Lottery player winnings of $491 million

-- Hoosier Lottery retailer commission and bonus earnings of $56 million

Several factors contributed to the Lottery’s record success in FY 2006.  In addition to strong scratch-off sales, two record Powerball jackpots, in October of 2005 ($340 million) and February of 2006 ($365 million), also boosted draw-game sales.

Thanks to a nice mix of price points, payouts, play styles and themes, Lottery players continue to play both our scratch-off and draw games at a record pace,”  said Schneider.

Security improvements continued in FY 2006.  Increased investigations resulted in the recovery of thousands of dollars of illegally claimed prizes.  New security cameras and monitors were installed and a 24-hour a day monitoring system for tracking of Lottery tickets was implemented.

The security of our games and the integrity of the Lottery remain in the forefront for our Security Department,” said Schneider.

The Lottery made overdue improvements to its infrastructure during FY 2006.  A new telephone system and WAN/network was installed to improve communication between our regional offices and retailers.  The Accounting Department added a new general ledger that streamlined the Lottery’s budgeting process and improved internal accounting practices.

The Hoosier Lottery realized additional savings of more than $295,000 by eliminating an underused warehouse, realigning its regional offices and reducing unnecessary square footage.

“We will continue to look for ways to cut cost and improve service to our players and retail partners,” said Schneider.

The Hoosier Lottery once again took an active role in the community through Alliance With Indiana, the Lottery’s community grant program.  Alliance With Indiana, a partnership and contractual agreement between the Hoosier Lottery and its draw-game and scratch-off ticket vendor, Scientific Games, Inc., awarded grants totaling $175,000 to 84 Indiana nonprofit organizations.

Guided by benchmarks of integrity and profitability, the Hoosier Lottery has returned $2.9 billion to the state of Indiana since 1989 to lower drivers’ license plate costs, supplement local firefighters’ and police officers’ pensions, supplement the Teachers’ Retirement Fund and much more.

All Hoosier Lottery press releases are available on the website: www.hoosierlottery.com. Winner photos are available upon request.  For more information please contact Andrew Reed at 317-264-4829.

“Family Guy” is a “Sweet!” Addition to MDI’s Portfolio of Licenses
Animated Sitcom Should Prove Popular Among Lottery Players

ALPHARETTA, Georgia, USA (November 1, 2006) -- “Family Guy,” the Emmy® Award-winning animated series that has charmed fans since its debut in 1999 is available to lotteries now that MDI Entertainment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS) has acquired the rights to the popular adult-oriented sitcom.

“Family Guy” was originally created by Executive Producer Seth MacFarlane. Premiering on FOX in 1999, the show was cancelled once in 2000 and again in 2002, but strong DVD sales and high ratings for reruns on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim led to FOX bringing the show back. It is now in its 6th season and consistently ranks number one for its time slot.

“Of all adult-themed animation shows, ‘Family Guy’ is by far right up there with the best,” said Steve Saferin, MDI president. “The fact that it came back to life based simply on the demand of its fan base means it has overwhelming viewer loyalty. Very few shows in television history can claim that achievement and it’s that kind of loyalty that will translate to strong instant ticket sales.

“’Family Guy’ is a series that continues to grow its fan base with its irreverent style and brilliant writing. The show demographic coincides with the Lottery purchasing audience and is a seamless, almost natural extension to the ‘Family Guy’ universe. We believe the goodwill surrounding ‘Family Guy’ will serve as a catalyst to lottery purchases and uniquely promote the brand in the marketplace,” said Michael Peikoff, Vice President Domestic Licensing - 20th Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising.

The show’s title characters are Peter Griffin, an inept blue-collar worker, and his middle-class family who frequently become entangled in Peter’s nonsensical antics. Key to the show’s humor are the constant cutaways (usually featuring oddball pop culture references) and flashbacks to various points in history, geography and reality involving the characters and their ludicrous actions. MacFarlane also provides the voices for Peter’s son, Stewie – the show’s most recognizable character -- and the family’s sarcastic talking dog, Brian.

Family Guy” has aired in countries all over the world including Australia, Canada, Germany, Spain, the U.K., the United Arab Emirates and throughout Latin America. Its popularity has resulted in products from board games and toys to videogames and apparel.

About Family Guy

Heading up the eclectic Family Guy household is Peter Griffin, a big, boisterous, lovable oaf who isn't afraid to say what's on his freakin' mind -- usually the wrong thing at exactly the wrong time. He lives in Quahog, Rhode Island with his wife, Lois, and their three children -- Chris, Meg and Stewie, a brilliant, sadistic baby bent on destroying the world.   And, don’t forget Peter’s well-spoken, cynical best friend, Brian, the family dog.  Executive producer/creator Seth MacFarlane has the distinction of being the youngest person to be an executive producer. Family Guy debuted after the Superbowl in 1999, and in 2004, Family Guy made television history when Fox ordered the previously cancelled show back into production due to its extraordinary fan support in both DVD sales and repeat broadcasts on Cartoon Network’s ‘Adult Swim’.

"We selected these athletes based on the quality of the images submitted; however, what really impressed us was the depth of their commitment to sports," said SportsFunder Brand Manager, Nicole Bour. "We hope our players will enjoy these games and take pride in supporting amateur sports in B.C."

European Football Championships Qualifying Round Theme Instants on Sale via Internet

VEIKKAUS, Finland (November 6, 2006) -- Finns are now offered the chance to prepare for the qualifying round of the European Football Championships 2008 by scratching off an instant ticket on the net. The instant is on sale at Veikkaus' website and by scratching it players can see whether Finland will score the winning goal against the teams on the qualifying round. Different game events are simulated by animation. The interactive instant is hosted by the Finnish footballer Mikael Forssell.

Veikkaus aims to encourage more players to try sports betting or to scratch off a European Football Championships Instant. The more customers we have who play with small stakes, the more prizes we can distribute, and the more funds we can collect for our beneficiaries, e.g., Finnish football. A small stake invested in one of Veikkaus games benefits Finnish sports both at the recreational level and in professional top sports: 7 cents per each euro spent on Veikkaus games are used to promote sports.

The European Football Championships Instant will be on sale throughout the qualifying round of the Championships, until the end of 2007. The previous football instant, the World Football Championships Instant, which was on sale in the summer, attracted a fair number of players. Nearly 400,000 tickets were bought on the net.

More and more players like to scratch off their instants on the net

Veikkaus' internet service offers the chance to play the eInstant versions of Nature Instant and Ässä Instant that are also sold as paper versions at retail outlets. Besides them, there are two instant games which are only available on the net. One of them is the European Football Championships Instant and the other is Horoscope Instant. Veikkaus launched its first eInstants in the summer of 2005, and they were played for around EUR 3.9 million during the first six months. By the end of September this year, we had already sold eInstants for EUR 5.8 million.

In view of the high event frequency of the eInstants, Veikkaus has made them subject to stake limits. Players can spend the maximum of EUR 100 on eInstants per day.

“This is a monumental achievement,” said JCM President Aki Isoi. “Since the company’s beginning, continuing training for employees and our customers has been the very core of our business model, and we are honored to be awarded this strict certification. And we are very proud of our training team, led by David Kubajak, for their commitment to training and for pursuing the IACET accreditation.

JCM will waste no time in implementing its IACET accreditation. JCM is conducting two bill validator technical certification training courses at G2E 2006. The first-ever IACET-accredited classes take place November 15, and begin at 8 a.m. Both are held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, room N-231. About IACET

IACET is a non-profit association dedicated to quality continuing education and training programs. The organization grew out of a National Task Force on continuing education commissioned by the Bureau of Education (now the Department of Education) in 1968, which determined universal guidelines for continuing education and created the Continuing Education Unit (CEU). Today, IACET’s Criteria and Guidelines are the core of thousands of educational programs worldwide.

The organization authorizes education providers that meet strict continuing education guidelines, and IACET certification has become the standard that students seek as a measure of education quality.

The process of becoming an IACET Authorized Provider is extensive. Companies undergo a strict evaluation of their educational processes according to the IACET Criteria and Guidelines, including two reviews by IACET’s Commission and a site visit by an IACET Commissioner.
