Norsk Tipping To Be Exclusive Operators Of VLTs In
Norway
HAMAR, Norway (August 26, 2005) -- In a
legal judgement, the Borgarting Appellate Court has given Norsk Tipping, The
Norwegian National Lottery, the exclusive right to operate gaming machines in
Norway.

 |
The Norwegian Government decided in 2003
that Norsk Tipping should become the sole operators of VLTs in Norway, due to
reasons connected to growing compulsive gambling. There is currently
close to 18 000 VLTs in Norway operated by a large number of private operators.
The private operators objected to the
Governments decision and had instituted legal proceedings against the State and
won the first round in the courtroom. But Friday August 26th the Borgarting
Appellate Court gave a legal judgement in complete favour of the Norwegian
State.
"We are confident that Norsk Tipping
efficiently will execute the Governments intentions to operate a VLT marked
grounded in social responsibility", says Reidar Nordby Jr., President and CEO
of Norsk Tipping.
In a press-release from the Ministry of
Culture and Church Affairs it is said that the current VLT market will be
phased-out, and that Norsk Tipping from 2006 will be the sole operator of
VLTs.

Mother Nature Sends Minnesotans a Thank You
ST. PAUL, Minn., USA (August 26, 2005) --
Mother Nature has impeccable manners. So, when she wants to thank Minnesotans
for the benefits she receives when they play the
Minnesota State Lottery, she says it with
flowers. Or, to be more specific, she says it with flowers, plants and
rocks.
 |
On a section of Highway 169, spelled out
in potentilla bushes, honeysuckle and multi-colored rocks, is the enormous
phrase, "When you play, nature wins. Thank you."
"When traveling to your cabins or
campgrounds, you'll be reminded that the forests and lakes you're enjoying are
being protected and maintained in part by funds from the Minnesota State
Lottery," explained Minnesota State Lottery Executive Director Clint
Harris. "And, Mother Nature is grateful."
Funded by the Minnesota State Lottery, the
"thank you" plantings creatively show Minnesotans where a large portion
of the Lottery's contributions to the state are directed -- the environment and
natural resources. And since 1990, the Minnesota State Lottery has contributed
more than $465 million to state environmental programs.
 |
"This is the first time Mother Nature
is directly sending a message to players about the Lottery," continued
Harris. "In this case, no one could convey it better."
The plantings are located on the east side
of the highway, a few miles north of Elk River, Minn. Using hundreds of plants,
the phrase is split into three large sections that can be "read," in order, as
people travel along the highway.
In addition to the plantings, the
Minnesota State Lottery plans to run television spots beginning in the late
summer or early fall that focus on the same "thank you" theme.

Bingo Allocations to Local Jurisdictions Up by More than
11%
AUSTIN, Texas, USA (August 26, 2005) --
One hundred and fifty-four local jurisdictions received $2.9 million from the
conduct of Charitable Bingo during the 2nd quarter of 2005, an increase of more
than 11 percent over the 1st quarter.
Additionally, the Charitable Bingo
Operations Division allocated $3.3 million to the states General Revenue
Fund, which was also up by $342,412 or 11 percent.
Allocations are the result of prize fees
collected by Charitable Bingo organizations from players winning bingo prizes
in April, May and June of this year. Cities and counties that imposed the gross
receipt tax on a local-option basis on or before January 1, 1993, receive
quarterly payments of up to 2.5 percent of the prizes won by Bingo players in
their jurisdictions.
A 2.5 percent share of the prize fees also
goes to the state, which is directed to a non-dedicated account in the General
Revenue Fund.
There are 1,293 non-profit organizations
conducting Charitable Bingo in Texas. Players won a total of $155.3 million in
prizes in the second quarter of 2005, with $76.5 million of that from regular

New Lotto Silver+ Add-On Game Debuts at
NASPL05
IRVING, Texas, USA (September 1, 2005) --
Lotto Silver+ , a unique add-on game from
Lottery Dynamics LLC that offers
Lotto players the historic option to Supersize their
jackpots as well as secondary prizes, will be officially introduced to the
industry at the upcoming NASPL05
Conference and Tradeshow, Sept. 14-16 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The game is part of Lottery Dynamics suite
of programs designed to reverse the downtrend in Lotto sales by creating
exciting multi-priced ticket options that give players an opportunity to win
better prizes, including significantly higher jackpots.
Lotto Silver+ is expected to provide
a much-needed boost in sales for current Lotto games and yield additional
profits to lotteries of 30-70 percent annually. At the same time, lotteries do
not have to change anything pertaining to their current Lotto game.
Lotto Silver+ is unique in that it
offers players who purchase a regular Lotto ticket the option to
Supersize their jackpot and secondary prizes by paying an
additional one or two dollars. This feature has never before been available for
Lotto players. A player holding a winning Lotto ticket who has also played
Lotto Silver+ could receive 2-6 times the regular Lotto jackpot. These
additional prizes are guaranteed by Lottery Dynamics and its strategic
partners.
Our patented Lotto
Silver+ game is the perfect solution for lotteries looking to find ways
to significantly build revenues while maintaining the higher profit margins
traditionally associated with Lotto and other on-line games, said
Stephan Egli, President of Lottery Dynamics. It is a completely
turn-key, no-risk program that provides what players want: choice at the cash
register and greater value for their dollar. When players are given greater
value, the result will be an overall increase in consumer satisfaction and
sales, Egli added.
In my years in the industry
I have yet to see another product offering that has so much upside with
virtually no downside risk, said Michael Frick, former Deputy
Secretary of the Florida Lottery and currently Vice President-Marketing for
North America at Lottery Dynamics.
This offering should eliminate
no from the decision-making process, Frick added.
From a marketing standpoint, it offers a premium value to current
players and carries far less risk than changing a matrix or launching a
completely new game. Lotteries dont have to replace anything with
Lotto Silver+ --- other than declining Lotto sales! Lotto Silver+
should be of immediate interest to any lottery with a Lotto game and a mission
to maximize net government revenues.
While the game offers player
choice and player value- the foundation of all Lottery Dynamics
programs - Lotto Silver+ also offers choice and value to lotteries.
Jurisdictions can set whatever price points they want for their Lotto
Silver+ game and net profits will increase in direct proportion to any
increase in sales since Lotto Silver+ can be offered without any increase
in the cost basis of a participating lottery. Increases in profits go
directly to the bottom line where they can be used for the many good causes
that lotteries support.
Lottery Dynamics can be visited at Booth 1
at the Minneapolis Convention Center where over 300 attendees will participate
in the Annual Conference and Tradeshow of the North American Association of
State and Provincial Lotteries.
About Lottery Dynamics Lottery
Dynamics LLC, based in Irving, Texas, is a company with a mission to
re-energize Lotto and other lottery games with patented programs highlighting
