The first week the Oregon Lottery was in business, Cal
Tigner stopped in a C-Store for a soda. While the clerk opened the till he
noticed the lottery tickets inside and purchased two. As the clerk handed the
tickets to him, he realized that "if I hadn't seen them I wouldn't have bought
them". That evening he made the first prototype from cardboard. The next
evening he made the first plastic dispenser. After patenting the ticket
dispenser Take-A-Ticket, Inc. was formed. Twenty-Two years later
