Biography:
Clint Harris became
Minnesota's second lottery director on
October 11, 2004 following his appointment by Governor Tim Pawlenty.
Prior to moving to Minnesota, Harris had been director
of the South Dakota Lottery. Formally appointed to that position in May, 2003,
he had served as acting executive director for the previous three years. He
joined the South Dakota Lottery in 1993 as research analyst and was named
director of administration in 1995.
A native of New Jersey, Harris has a Bachelor of
Science degree from Northern State University, Aberdeen, South Dakota and a
Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of South
Dakota. Prior to joining the Lottery, he worked in the retail grocery business
for 17 years. He has been married for 27 years to wife Dawn and they have
three children, Eric who is married to Abby, Chad and Samantha. Harris
currently serves as chair of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) Hot
Lotto Game group, and NASPL Second Vice President.

Director Named President of North American Lottery Association
MINNESOTA, USA (October 23, 2006) -- Clint Harris, Executive Director of
the Minnesota State Lottery, has been elected president of the
North American Association of State and
Provincial Lotteries (NASPL). The 52-member organization, consisting of
government-sponsored lotteries from the United States, Canada, Mexico and the
Caribbean, selected Harris this month at their annual meeting in
