Biography:
Arch Gleason was appointed President & CEO of the
Kentucky Lottery Corporation in 1993
after having served two separate terms as Director of the
West Virginia Lottery, first from
1989-1990, and again in early 1993. He also served as President of the
Multi-State Lottery Association from
1996-1998, in other offices, and as a member of its executive committee from
1995-2000. Arch served in various offices and as a member of
NASPL's executive committee since 1994.
Arch is a former Secretary of the West Virginia
Department of Transportation, and also served as Special Assistant to the
Governor of West Virginia and Chairman of the Public Port Authority. He also
served as NASPL President for the 2001-2002 term.
A graduate of John Carroll University in Cleveland
with a B.S.B.A. degree in Business Administration, Arch is a CPA with 20 years
of experience in the public practice of accounting, auditing, tax, and
financial planning services.
Arch currently serves on the boards of Metro United
Way, Downtown Development Corporation, and Bridgehaven, Inc. He previously
served in leadership positions on many community organizations in Kentucky and
West Virginia.
Arch Gleason Takes Over
as WLA President BASEL, Switzerland (February 2006) --
Reidar Nordby, Jr. has stood down as President of the World Lottery Association
after almost six years in the position, handing the gavel to Arch Gleason,
President and CEO of the Kentucky
Lottery. Arch is a past president of the North American Association of State and
Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) and has been Senior Vice-President of the WLA
