Abouserhal |
Biography:
Mike Abouserhal, formely the
lottery's assistant director managing the agency's finance and administration
came to the lottery from Cleveland city government where he was assistant
finance director from 2002 to 2005.
Prior to that, Mr. Abouserhal was
employed by the Auditor of State’s Office. After becoming Senior
Deputy Auditor in 1996, he created and managed a performance audit organization
within the Auditor of State’s Office. Among his responsibilities at
that time was a performance audit of the Ohio Lottery’s drawing
procedures.
Mr. Abouserhal, a Certified Public Accountant, holds a
bachelor’s degree in accounting from Cleveland State University. He
and his wife and son reside in Westlake.
Governor Appoints New Ohio Lottery Commission
Director
CLEVELAND, Ohio, USA (September 7, 2006) --
Governor Bob Taft recently appointed Mike Abouserhal, CPA, 47, as the new
Director of the Ohio Lottery
Commission. Mr. Abouserhal, the Ohio Lottery’s Assistant
Director since Jan. 19, 2005, replaced Tom Hayes, who stepped down Aug.
