The JLC started selling Instant scratch and win games back in the early 90's. On November 19, 1994, the JLC launched its land-based electronic system with the globally popular Lotto game. In May of 1997, the JLC launched a daily 3-digit game currently called Pick 3. Today the JLC has over 600 land-based on-line retailers selling over 1.8 million plays per week equaling over 508,000 weekly consumer visits.
On October 25, 1999 the Jamaica Lottery Company Limited entered into an historic and groundbreaking partnership with eLottery, Inc of Norwalk, CT USA (NASDAQ symbol ELOT) to distribute the JLC's products and services on the Internet. The JLC is a member of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries ("NASPL") and one of the few lottery organizations outside North America to have membership in this highly recognized organization. In Jamaica, the JLC continues to be innovative by being the first to launch a fully automated global e-commerce web site hosted here in Jamaica.
