CAIXA stimulates dreams of wealth and a better life
with the Federal Lotteries, of which it controls the monopoly since 1961.
With a revenue over R$ 4,4 billion, the CAIXA
Lotteries have had a record performance in 2005. Of this total, almost R$ 2
billion have been repassed to the federal government, composing an important
source of funds to the social sector. In 2006 CAIXA will finish the process
of implementation of a new lottery model, bringing more security, efficiency
and speed to the lottery system. 25 thousand terminals will be installed in the
almost 9 thousand lottery units throughout the country.
Caixa Economica Federal Lotteries Have
Record Year in 2009 BRAZIL (January 19, 2009) -- Caixa
Economica Federal (CEF), through the Lotteries Box, reported record revenues of
US$7.3 billion in wagers in 2009. The value of 28.3% exceeds the figures
achieved in the previous year, which had been the best performance in history.

Brazilian Lotteries Raise Record $2.45 Billion in
2008 RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (January 13, 2009) -- The
Brazilian government's lotteries raised a record 5.7 billion reais (about
US$2.45 billion) in 2008, up 10.5 percent from the previous year, the
state-owned bank Caixa Económica Federal (Caixa Econômica Federal

Partnership; Partnership Will Allow Passengers To Pay For Tickets At Lottery
Ticket Outlets SAO PAULO, Brazil (May 30, 2007) -- The
Caixa Economica Federal and TAM Linhas Aereas launched a partnership today
making it possible to pay for airline tickets at lottery ticket outlets.

CEFs Revenue
Increases in 2006 BRAZIL (February 27, 2007) -- Brazil's
state-owned bank Caixa Economica Federal (CEF) said on Monday that its net
revenue rose to 2.39 billion reais (US$1.15 billion) in 2006, up 15.4 percent
from the previous year. The CEF holds the monopoly of the operation of all
federal lotteries in Brazil. It relies on a network of more than 17,000
agencies throughout the country, of which about 9,000 are authorized lottery
spots that also provide banking services, such as payments and deposits.
