June Roache

June Roache has been Chief Executive Officer of SA Lotteries since March 1995.
Prior to this appointment she was Chief of Staff for a State Government Cabinet Minister and a Senior Executive with the South Australian TAB (off-track betting).
Since 2008 June has been Chairman of the Asia Pacific Lottery Association and is the Asia Pacific representative on the World Lottery Association Executive Committee. Prior to 2008, June served on the APLA Executive Committee as Vice-Chairman for four years.
June holds a Bachelor of Accounting and a Graduate Certificate in Management.
She is a Member of CPA Australia, is a Certified Practicing Accountant, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
She has previously held many Board Memberships and is currently on the Board of Business SA (the South Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) as well as the Flinders Medical Centre Foundation Board.



David Garceran

David Garceran Nieuwenburg is a seasoned Internet professional who has demonstrated considerable IT and business acumen in various Internet and e-Business management roles with large and reputable organizations across different geographic regions during the past 10 years of his career. David is currently Head of Department Web Marketing & Services of the Hong Kong Jockey Club and as such responsible for in the broadest sense, from design, content & operations and analytics to strategy and innovation.



Suzanne Soo

Suzanne Soo is the Marketing Manager for Magnum 4D Berhad. She began her career as a lawyer but later fell in love with marketing and pursued a Masters Degree in Marketing. Since then, she has never turned back.

With over 12 years experience in marketing, Suzanne has worked in various industries such as consulting, tele-communications, entertainment and IT.



Todd McLeay

Todd McLeay has been in the role of Chief Executive for NZ Lotteries for the last five year. NZ Lotteries is a circa $900 million business that sells lottery games via New Zealand's largest retail network and via online.
Todd was educated at Otago University and has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a post graduate diploma in finance.
He is married with four children and lives in Auckland.



Oon Yeoh

Oon Yeoh is a Malaysian writer and editor. He has over a decade of experience in the journalism and publishing industry spanning various media such as print, web, mobile and apps. (Organiser : He is fondly aka the New Media guy...)
Though his career has primarily been focused on media work, from January 2007 through December 2008 he worked as a senior research scientist at Telenor Research & Innovation Centre Asia Pacific, located in Cyberjaya. He headed the "Mobile Media" project focusing on mobile web (WAP 2.0) concepts. He returned to the journalism industry in January 2009, taking up the position of editor for New Media at The Edge. He is currently the managing editor at AsiaReach Media, a local publishing house.
He maintains a tech column in Malaysiakini that is published every Tuesday. He also has a weekly current affairs column which appears in theSun every Wednesday.
Yeoh has authored several books on judo, ICT and politics. His judo books include "Great Judo Championships of the World" and "Ashiwaza" (co-authored with American world champion, Michael Swain). Both books were published by Ippon Books of London. His ICT books include "Transition -- Making Sense of the Digital Age" and "Go for Broke -- Tales of Technopreneurship". Both were published by GoodBasic Media, which he co-owns. Yeoh's recent book titled "Like Me, Follow Me" which focuses on how to use Facebook and Twitter for business purposes was at one point No. 2 on the MPH Local Non-Fiction Best Seller's List. This is the first and only locally written book on using social media for business in English (as at 26 April 2011).



Teo Chew Hoon

Teo Chew Hoon, Executive Vice President, Commercial and Roads, SMRT Corporation. She leads the business units of Automotive Services, Buses, Taxis, and Commercial Business, responsible for driving growth, new businesses and customer engagement strategies.
Ms Teo joined SMRT in 2003, where she transformed and championed the growth of SMRT's leasing and out-of-home advertising businesses, delivering a suite of convenient and lifestyle services as well as innovative and impactful advertising platforms across Singapore's public transport network. From 2010, Ms Teo's portfolio expanded to cover Automotive Services as well as the road businesses of Buses and Taxis.
Prior to her career in SMRT, Ms Teo was Group Sales Manager and subsequently General Manager, Airport Operations at DFS Venture Singapore Pte Ltd, where she ran the concession businesses for Duty Free Liquor, Wines & Tobacco, Fashion, Beauty and Watches.
As the Chairperson of SMRT Family Service Committee, Ms Teo personally oversees and leads the company's community assistance programmes for low income and needy families, children and elderly.
Ms Teo has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from the National University of Singapore.



Marilyn Ling

Marilyn Ling is the Chief Marketing Officer of Singapore Pools (Private) Limited since 2008. She is responsible for the organisation’s Marketing & Sales, Branch Operations and Telebetting divisions. She leads and oversees the planning and execution of the organisation's marketing, business and sales operation initiatives to deliver lottery and sports betting products and services to its customers.
Marilyn joined Singapore Pools in 1986 and since then, was instrumental in the computerization efforts of its sales channels and operations. Prior to her current position, Marilyn spent 17 years heading IT as its Chief Information Officer. In her IT role, she strategized, planned and oversaw the development of the organization's IT infrastructure and services that support the retail network and backend operations.
Marilyn has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Computer Science and a Graduate Diploma (Gold Award) in Marketing.



Jean Jorgensen

Jean Jørgensen is the Executive Director of the World Lottery Association. The global lottery association counts 144 lotteries and 58 associate members and has offices in Basel, Switzerland and Montréal, Canada.
Prior to joining the WLA in 2009, Jean worked 13 years for the Danish National Lottery, Danske Spil. He was CEO of the Danish Horse Racing Tote in the process when it was bought by the National Lottery. He left the lottery as acting CEO in 2005 to become independent lottery and gaming adviser in Brussels, Belgium. He followed and reported on European Union politics in gambling and the European Court of Justice's rulings in gambling cases. He has, among others, advised European Parliament members drafting the 2009 report "On the integrity of online gambling" (The "Schaldemose" report). He has also worked as advisor to the Danish Government Gaming Authority on its 2011 online gaming legislation.
Prior to joining the lottery business, Jean has worked as fund raiser for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva, Switzerland, and as a statistical analyst at the Danish Ministry of Education. He has earned two masters degrees in economics and in business administration.



Jaehwan Kim

Jaehwan Kim is the Brand Manager for Sports TOTO Co., Ltd Seoul, Korea. He is currently in charge of Social media marketing. He has a Master of Business Administration, Sports Marketing Degree from the University of Oregon. He was responsible for launching the new "Proto" brand for Sports TOTO Korea, where his new marketing concept, the "SPORTAINMENT" (i.e., sports + entertainment) boosted Sports TOTO's sales by 40% from $900 million in 2006 to $1.3 billion in 2007. He was also instrumental in producing a Proto Commercial Film which represents fun and energetic aspect to service, to improve Proto's Brand image amongst the young generation. He spearheaded the SPORTS BLOGSPHERE project for Sports TOTO, a new online publicity method of minimizing publishing right problems, in launching the Proto brand home page (



Mandy Woods

Mandy Woods is the Lotto Brand Portfolio Manager for Tatts Lotteries in Australia. Tatts Lotteries is the strategic business unit of Tatts Group and operates lotteries in six Australian jurisdictions under the brands of Golden Casket, Tatts and NSW Lotteries.
Mandy has 20 years of experience in the marketing of Lottery games, currently responsible for the Lotto Brand Portfolio which includes Saturday Lotto, midweek Lotto, spiel games and draw lottery games. During her career in Lotteries she has worked on a number of other brands including Instant Scratch-Its, Powerball, Oz Lotto and The Soccer Pools. Her role is responsible for developing and managing brand and product strategies that deliver revenue and profit objectives. Originally starting her career with Golden Casket Lotteries, she has since been involved in managing the integration with Tatts in 2008 and New South Wales Lotteries in 2010.



Alan Chan

Alan Chan is a Director with Accenture Interactive and oversees the Business Consulting group in South East Asia. He began his career working on US based projects before moving back to Singapore in 2006 to focus on the APAC region. In the Gaming & Entertainment industry, Alan has been helping his clients pursue growth strategies and convert opportunities in the digital space. He has also set up joint businesses between Accenture and his clients, allowing the generation of alternative revenue. Alan has been in the consulting industry for 10 years, of which 8 years was spent with Accenture.
Alan currently resides in Singapore.



Puvathy Nadarajah

Puvathy Nadarajah first joined McDonald's Malaysia in 1988 and has worked her way up to the position of Operations Consultant and later moved on to Training Deparment as a Training Consultant. Her job involves providing Training for the McDonald's Operations team which includes both Corporate and Franchisees.
She later joined 7-Eleven Malaysia as a Training Manager and is now the Senior Training Manager with 7-Eleven Malaysia. She is responsible for the Nationwide Corporate & Franchisee Stores Operations Training & Head Office training with 58 staffs in the Training Department.
She has obtained professional certification inHuman Psychology & Brain Learning Techniques with Institute of Mind and Metaphysics & Perfect Life Coaching Centre, USA.
She is currently pursuing her MBA in "International Business" with University of East London and is a member of "Toastmasters Club" from Women Institute of Management.
Ms Puvathy designed the 1st Franchisee Training Program for 7-Eleven Malaysia and under her leadership, the 7-Eleven Malaysia's Training Curriculum has been accrediatated by Department of Skills Development under Ministry Of Human Resource (MOHR) as equivalent to "Higher Diploma in Retail" with the local universities in Malaysia effective April 2011.



Rikke Netterstrom

Rikke Netterstrom is an Executive Director of CSR Asia based in Malaysia. Rikke has over 15 years multi-sector experience in corporate responsibility strategy, stakeholder engagement and communications. At CSR Asia, her focus is on Board-level engagement to promote responsible business practices at major Asian and international companies. She has recently provided strategy advisory to several large Asian gaming operators.
Prior to this, she was responsible for environmental and social issues for two of the world's sustainability leader - The Body Shop International plc and Novozymes A/S, preparing strategies for over 50 markets globally. As an investment analyst and a public affairs consultant, she provided advisory services to multinational companies within a range of sectors, including consumer goods, agrichemicals and financial institutions. She has worked extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas, delivering workshops at Board and senior management level in China, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the US. Rikke was closely involved in the creation of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil as an Executive Board member, and recently served as Interim Secretary General of the organisation. She holds an MSc in International Business from Copenhagen Business School and postgraduate qualifications from Thammasat University, Thailand.



Takashi Yoshida

Takashi Yoshida,
Manager, Lottery Division, Mizuho Bank, Ltd.
Mizuho Bank handles the actual operation of Japanese Takara-kuji lottery, and it annual sales are around one trillion yen.
Mr. Yoshida has been working in its Lottery Division since April 2005. He presently oversees the international affairs of his division’s lottery operations. In collaboration with the Japan Lottery Association, he assisted in preparations for APLA 2007 Regional Conference Tokyo.
He has presented the country update on Japan at APLA Regional Conference several times. This year he is scheduled to introduce Green Initiative in Japanese Takara-kuji lottery.



Dr Shelly Zhou

Ir Dr Shelley Zhou, Sustainability Manager at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, has over 10 years experience in environmental and carbon management consultancy, new energy and biotechnology in Hong Kong, China and Singapore. She holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Philosophy degree in Civil Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). She is a Certified Carbon Audit Professional (CAP), a LEED Green Associate, member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and BEAM Professional and recently been appointed as the Adjunct Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of the HKUST.
Ir Dr Zhou has also been active in voluntary engagements with non-governmental organizations. She is Director of Hong Kong Association of Energy Engineers (HKAEE), council member of Hong Kong People's Council for Sustainable Development, member of Friends of the Earth (HK), Engineers Without Borders (HK) and a core member of the Hong Kong delegation to the UNFCCC, 13th Conference of Parties ('COP13') in Bali in 2007.



Dr Jasmine Loo

Dr. Jasmine Loo is a Psychologist and Lecturer at Department of Psychology, HELP University, Kuala Lumpur. She maintains a working liaison with The University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia, and Oxford University. She had also provided consultancy services for a post-natal depression unit at Belmont Private Hospital among other psychological services. Jasmine is a published author in international journals and have presented in international conferences such as the World Psychiatric Association International Congress, Australian Psychological Society Annual Conference, and National Conference of Emerging & New Researchers in Gambling. She had received awards such as the University of Queensland Postgraduate Research Excellence Award and Tutor Excellence Award. Besides being passionate about quality teaching and presentations, she has been actively involved with The University of Queensland's Self-help Treatment Project for Problem Gamblers that was fully funded by the Queensland Treasury, which is the economic and financial advisor to the Queensland Government, Australia.



Dr P Sundramoorthy

Dr. P. Sundramoorthy is an associate professor of criminology and has been working as a faculty member in the School of Social Sciences at University Sains Malaysia since June 1994. Recently, he and his co-researchers successfully completed a consultation project on "The Root Causes of Crime in Malaysia" which was funded by the Ministry of Finance for the government of Malaysia. Since 2008, he is the principal investigator for two research projects on "Public Perception on Crime Survey" and "Public Perception on Policing Survey". In 2009, the Royal Malaysia Police appointed Sundramoorthy as the principal investigator for all research that will be undertaken in the area of "Crime and Policing in Malaysia".
In 2003, Sundramoorthy was invited as a 'Visiting Professor' to University of Utah (USA), where he taught a course in "Comparative Criminal Justice of United States of America and Malaysia". In 2002, he was invited as a 'Visiting Professor' to Chubu University in Nagoya, Japan. From 1999 to 2003, Sundramoorthy was the Principle Researcher for a 'HIV Impact Assessment' project where he led a team of scholars from Asia-Pacific (a project fully funded by United Nations Development Programme). Since 1997, Sundramoorthy has been serving as executive member on the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (Penang). In October 2010, the Prime Minister of Malaysia appointed Sundramoorthy as an executive member of the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation at the federal level.



Thierry Pujol

Thierry Pujol is Director of Risk Management and Security of La Française des Jeux for 6 years.
This division comprises of 70 persons and in charge of the security policy of the company.

Thierry Pujol is a former French Army officer.
Graduated from the Special Military Academy of Saint-Cyr, he spent 18 years in the Special Paratroopers Forces and gave up his functions with the rank of colonel. At this time, he was commander in chief of a special unit depending on DGSE (Service Action). During all this period, he was involved in different conflicts in Africa (Tchad, Zaire, Rwanda, Angola, Sudan), the Middle East (Lebanon, Irak), Afghanistan and the former Yugoslavia.
He worked after during 5 years inside the Rothschild Group (Assurances Saint-Honoré) as Director of Operations in charge of international security and safety matters. In particular, he managed several Kidnapping and Ransom (K&R) cases in South America and in Central Africa. He runned also expats evacuation plans in Ivory Coast, Venezuela Saudi Arabia and Madagascar. He managed also several security and safety audits worldwide during this period.
Thierry Pujol is IT engineer and Executive MBA from HEC (high school for management and business studies).
He is Chairman of the Security and Risk Management Committee (SRMC) of the World Lottery Association (WLA) since January 2008.
He is also Chairman of the Security and Risk Management Working group (SRMWg) of European Lotteries (EL) since September 2009, and member of the EL Public order Committee since October 2009.
He is Officer of the French Legion of Honor and Officer of the French National Merit.



Jody Nunn

Jody Nunn is the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications at Lotterywest (Western Australia) and the Secretariat Administrator for the Asia Pacific Lottery Association. She has over twenty years experience in a range of marketing, public relations and corporate communication roles. Jody was educated at the WA Academy of Performing Arts (Arts Management) and has spent much of her career in film, the arts and cultural industries including major festivals in the UK and Australia and at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. In her role at Lotterywest, she focuses on the corporate branding and reputation, public relations and stakeholder engagement. She has two daughters and tries to find a moments peace by swimming, reading and re-learning to play the piano.



Tim Walter

Tim Walter joined Tatts Group in January 2005 and is the Retail Manager Tatts Lotteries. Tim is responsible for managing the operations of Tatts national retail network covering three jurisdictions in over 1000 Franchise stores across Australia. Specifically he is responsible for network development, turnover and revenue growth, and managing commercial relationships to provide direction and focus to Tatts business partners and key industry stakeholders.
Tim has extensive retail management, operations and network development experience covering 17 years in both public and private retail organisations. In particular, leading and managing small and large multi-site retail networks with comprehensive knowledge of multi-site Franchise systems. He has previously held key retail management roles with leading retail brands such as Virgin Entertainment, and McDonald’s.



Ee Hock Chye

Ee Hock Chye is the Senior Manager (Marketing & Sales) of Singapore Pools (Private) Limited. He heads up the Lottery Products Department and the Customer Acquisition & Management Unit. He is responsible for the department’s lottery marketing activities that communicate and deliver lottery products in a timely manner to the customers. He also focuses on the recruitment of account-based customers and the management of these account holders. Prior to joining Singapore Pools, Hock Chye spent 8 years with Temasek Holdings in private equity investment.
Hock Chye has a Master in Business Adminstration from National University of Singapore and a Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Nanyang Technology Institute.



Kevin Downes

Kevin Downes is Marketing Manager of Scientific Games Products (Australia) Pty Ltd, based at their Asia Pacific Headquarters in Sydney. In this role Kevin works with the marketing teams of Scientific Game' important clients throughout Australia & New Zealand.
Since entering the lottery industry in 1985, Kevin has played an active role in developing the wide range of games lotteries take for granted today, including the ever popular Crossword which he developed in collaboration with NZ Lotteries in 1995.
Kevin is responsible for new product development and is committed to helping lotteries in this region grow sales through the implementation of "Best Practices" in all aspects of instant lottery marketing. In his role with Scientific Games, Kevin is part of Scientific Games' global marketing team and participates in regular meetings with his colleagues around the world to share knowledge and ideas that can benefit our clients.

Vangelis Chrysafidis

As Managing Director of INTRALOT Asia Pacific, Vangelis Chrysafidis is leading the existing businesses of INTRALOT in China, Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. Sharon Duncalf

Sharon Duncalf is a GTECH's Vice President of International Marketing, Sharon leads a team of international lottery sales and marketing experts supporting over 25 lotteries across four continents. Sharon joined GTECH in 2005 but prior to that, Sharon spent 11 years with Camelot, the company that runs the U.K. National Lottery, working in a variety of sales and marketing roles. Having worked on the operations side of the lottery business, she brings to her position an in-depth understanding of the obligations that a lottery has to the government, public, players, and retailers. Working with many customers around the world gives Sharon a unique insight into lottery player trends and needs for the future.



Tim Healey

Tim Healey joined the Institute for Operational Excellence in 2009 after a successful career with British American Tobacco and the H.J Heinz Company. During his time in the consumer packaged goods sector Tim worked in new product development, supply chain management, marketing and brand management, and as an operations liaison.
Tim works with clients to develop their understanding of Operational Excellence and what it means to their organization, and then teaches the lean tools that are used to build Operational Excellence. Tim's experience has come through numerous engagements involving teaching these concepts to large groups ranging from C-Level executives to shop floor workers. All of Tim's knowledge is backed up by his experience working with clients on the implementation of these tools within their businesses.
Of particular interest to Tim is the connection between office based activities such as Sales and Marketing, Finance and Human Resources and the operational side of an organization. This is often a missing link for many businesses. To achieve Operational Excellence throughout an entire organization, it is vital to forge strong lean connections between operations and support functions.
Tim's work with the Institute for Operational Excellence has further developed his standing within the Lean and Operational Excellence community as he often leads forums, conferences, and discussion groups hosted by the Institute.
Tim has worked globally with numerous large clients including Parker Hannifin, United Technologies Corporation, Bayer Healthcare, Classic Party Rentals, Curtiss Wright, and a variety of others. These projects have successfully focused on areas such as new product development processes, finance, a variety of human resources processes, engineering change processes, marketing, quotation processes, and many other areas of corporate life.
Tim is an accomplished speaker and presenter having spoken on the topic of Operational Excellence at numerous conferences throughout North America and Europe. Tim teaches regularly in Asia, Europe, and North America.

Tok Shou Hsien is Manager of Corporate Planning and Responsible Gaming at Singapore Pools. She joined Singapore Pools in 2001. Prior to that, she was an Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She graduated from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore with a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy in 1998.




Riku Soininen

Riku Soininen is the CEO and Managing Director of Advant Games Ltd, an innovation partner for lotteries that facilitates the Lottery Innovation Network for the regulated gaming operators globally.
Before his current position at Advant Games, Soininen acted as the Head of Innovation at Veikkaus Oy, the Finnish National Lottery. During his 10 year career in Veikkaus, Soininen was involved in several international and European cooperation initiatives mainly within WLA (World Lottery Association) and EL (European Lotteries).
Soininen has a degree of MSc and Licensiate of Technology in Information Technology. Before joining Veikkaus in the 90's, Soininen headed Digital Media Institute at Tampere Univesity of Technology and the ICT Center of Excellence in Tampere, Finland.



Christopher Blake

Christopher Blake is the ASEAN Regional Executive IBM Lotus Collaboration portfolio of solutions for business, across the ASEAN countries of Singapore Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Chris has more than 24 years of sales and business consulting experience gained through corporations such as IBM, Microsoft and Telstra across Australia, Asia Pacific and India. He has worked on assignments in Europe, the UK and the US and has resided in Singapore for the last 3 years.
Before rejoining IBM in 2010, Chris spent the previous 14 years within Microsoft commencing his career in Business & Partner Development roles in Australia in 1996. He held several Territory Management, Partner Development and Sales Leadership positions within Microsoft and has been credited as a co-founder and developer of Microsoft's Capability Based selling methodology. He was also part of the initial team who developed Microsoft first Campus and School Volume Licensing program, based upon what Microsoft now refers to as Enterprise Agreements. He was also credited with the negotiation and formation of the first jointly funded and resourced Microsoft Innovation Centre with the South Australian Government.
Prior to that, Chris has held a Client Account Executive position in Telstra Australia, and Industry Sales Management positions in IBM where he commenced his career in Australia in 1986 as a Software Sales Specialist.
Chris holds a both a Bachelor and Masters of Business from University of South Australia which he complemented over the years with post graduate qualifications from the University of Southern Queensland in Professional Communications and e-Business Strategy development.



Peter Jakobsen

Peter Jakobsen
Lead, Collaboration Architecture Marketing and TelePresence Field Marketing, Asia Pacific Cisco Systems.
Peter heads the Collaboration Architecture Marketing efforts for Asia Pac covering Enterprise and Mid-market within Cisco Systems. Overseeing a team of marketing specialists this comprises the areas of Collaboration and TelePresence. Having lived in Singapore for 15 years Peter was previously the Managing Director for GN Netcom(Jabra) in Asia for close to seven years looking after the end to end business in all of Asia excluding ANZ and Japan. In this role Peter was also responsible for Marketing across APJ.
Prior to coming to Asia in 1995 as the Export Counselor at the Danish Embassy, Peter worked within a subsidiary of the Danish Networking Gear Manufacturer Olicom focusing on Data Communications across EMEA.
Peter was also a founding member of the CCAS (Contact Centre Association of Singapore) where he was the Vice Chairman until 2008 and spearheaded the creation of Telemarketing Guidelines for the Financial Industry in Singapore working with the Government and the Industry.
Inside Cisco Peter was also a founding member of the Cisco Asia Civic Council which oversees the giving back activities across the Asia Sales region, inclusive of donation drives and collaboration with various NGO's.
