Deborah Courtney

Biography:

Ms. Courtney has nearly 20 years experience in finance, accounting and internal audit working for the Virginia Lottery, the University of Virginia, the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, and the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, she holds bachelor’s degrees in accounting and mathematics with a concentration in applied statistics.
Ms. Courtney started with the Virginia Lottery in August of 1988, before the first ticket was sold.  She left in March of 1992, but returned in April 1999.  She served as Deputy Director of Finance from November 2004 to November 2006.
